Lynn Burton

March 13, 1951 — April 6, 2021

Lynn Burton

Lynn was an affectionate, loving, and generous husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away at home on April 6, 2021 following a long battle with multiple medical problems.
Lynn was born in Ogden, Utah, and spent his childhood growing up in Murray, Utah. He later graduated from Murray High School and went off to college where he attended the College of Eastern Utah. Lynn was quite the artist and had a love of film and journalism. He finished his time at school with an Associate’s of Art Degree.
Lynn had a successful career at Utah Power & Light for over 40 years. In the earlier part of his career, he met his wife Nicky and they raised their kids and grandkids together.
Electrician, artist, skier, musician, movie extra... these were just a few of Lynn’s talents and hobbies. Whether he was skiing or diving as a young man, or fishing off the Oregon coast with his brother Brent every summer, he was always adventurous and fun.
Lynn enjoyed entertaining and delighting his friends and family with his musical talents, cheerful sense of humor, and let’s not forget the JibJabs. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have Lynn in our lives, will always be grateful for the experiences we shared with him.
Lynn was survived by his wife Nicky, daughter Tawny, granddaughter Lexi, and his siblings Scott, Rama, and Brent. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cassie, his grandsons Alex and Davie, and his parents Hilda and Merrill.
A service will be held for Lynn on Saturday April 24, 2021 at Skyline LDS Church, 777 Skyline Dr in Tooele at 11 AM.
