Verlin Lavern Ramos Gonzales

Verlin was born in Vacaville, California, and moved to Tooele when she was 11 years old. She attended Tooele High School, where she met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Michael Gonzales. They were married on September 26, 1970, and were together for 56 beautiful years.

Verlin loved going to Wendover and playing bingo, and she especially loved spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Verlin enjoyed watching TV shows such as The Price Is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, and Dr. Oz. She also loved her Betty Boop collection, wind chimes, and flowers. Verlin worked at Sperry/Univac for 25 years and later worked for EG&G, where she retired.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Gonzales; her son Ricky (Brandy) Gonzales; her daughter Patricia (Sean) Gonzales Healy; her son Jason Gonzales; her brother Mikie Ramos; her grandchildren James, Breeanna, Deark, Trevor, Angel, and Riley; her great-grandchildren Skyler, Jadelyn, Daxten, Nevaeh, Lillyana, Zepplin, Arianna, and Hazel; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Velma Ramos, and her sisters, Annetta St. Claer and Linda Sue Barney.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 29, at St. Margaretes Church. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment will follow at the Tooele City Cemetery. Services interested with Didericksen Memorial, 435-277-0050.
