Varnell Herzog

Varnell J. Herzog passed away August 31, 2013. He was born in Mapleton, Idaho to Joseph John Herzog and Arvlyn Gleed on Aug 3, 1933. Varnell was the most loving, caring, and gentle man to everyone he ever met. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice; his sons', Ronnie (Connie), Roger (Traci), Russell; daughter, Star; daughter-in-law, Penny Herzog; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; 5 sisters; and several others he dearly loved. Preceded in death by his son, Randy; his parents; and a sister. Varnell's wishes were to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, an account has been setup in his name to help cover funeral expenses at HeritageWest Credit Union. Family and friends are invited to his home (216 Highland Dr) to celebrate his life on Sat, Sept 7, at 12:00 noon til later that evening. A light lunch will be served.
