Shanna Jo Miller

November 26, 1985 — April 28, 2026

Tooele

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Shanna Jo Miller at the young age of only 40. She passed away peacefully in Pueblo, Colorado, surrounded by her loving family on April 28, 2026.

Shanna was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, and dear friend to many. She was born on November 26, 1985, in Tooele, Utah, to JoAnne Valdez and Brian Mecham. Shanna was raised in Tooele County with much love by her parents, JoAnne and Rick Valdez, and by her father, Brian Mecham, until his passing when she was just 10 years old.

Shanna had a generous and loving spirit from the day she was born and brought so much joy to those around her. She was the oldest of five siblings, whom she was very close to growing up. Shanna, her siblings, and several close friends spent much of their time outdoors riding four-wheelers, going on camping and boating trips, and swimming in Stansbury Lake, creating lifelong memories together.

Shanna met her husband, Clint, in August 2005 in Tooele, Utah. They began a beautiful love story that lasted until her passing. Shanna and Clint were married on October 21, 2014. Together, they welcomed two sons, Austin Clint in 2006 and Brian Alexander in 2010. Austin and Brian were the center of their lives and completed their family. Shanna was a loving and wonderful mother. She loved her boys deeply and was so proud of their accomplishments and talents.

In 2014, Clint and Shanna moved their family to Pueblo, Colorado, for work opportunities, where they lived for many years but always planned to return home to Tooele.

Shanna was a very talented jewelry maker. She ran a successful small jewelry business out of her home called “SM Jewelry by Hand.” Shanna created one-of-a-kind handmade sterling silver jewelry, often featuring prized gemstones such as turquoise. She also provided custom additions to existing wedding bands for customers. Shanna was always praised for her kindness, talent, and work ethic. Her attention to detail was evident not only in her jewelry work, but also in the way she maintained her home, organized every aspect of life, and cared for herself.

Shanna was an exceptionally beautiful soul whose beauty always shined both inside and out. She was thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate, and kind.

In her free time, Shanna enjoyed restoring dressers and tables, spoiling her dog Luna, having heartfelt conversations, caring for her plants, crocheting, and many other arts and crafts. She also loved being a short-order cook.

Shanna was always known for having the biggest sweet tooth in the family, and if you had a craving, you could always count on her to have candy or treats nearby.

Shanna is survived by her devoted husband, Clint Miller; her children, Austin Clint and Brian Alexander; her parents, Rick and JoAnne Valdez; her siblings, Derrik Mecham (Tasia), Lacey Benedict (Chris), Chelsie Valdez, and Lynzie Harris (Kit); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

She was preceded in death by her father, Brian Mecham; grandparents Frank and Marie Herrera, Ray and Carolyn Valdez, and Arnold and Marlene Mecham; and her aunt, Charlene Herrera.

Services will be held at St. Marguerite's Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.  Join us for an open viewing where we share memories and stories together from 10:00 to 11:00. Mass will start at 11:00. Interment will cillow at Tooele City Cemtery. All are invited to luncheon back at the church following the graveside service.

Please ask everyone to wear pink in memory of Shanna. We are having an open microphone at the luncheon in case anyone wants to share their memories of Shanna.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Clint and their boys in Shanna’s honor, either directly or through GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/814c9528f

Though her time with us was far too short and her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Until we meet again, we love you, Shanna.
