Patrick Ciervo, Sr

Patrick J. Ciervo, Sr.
Our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Patrick Joseph Ciervo, 93 or as he would jokingly say he was 103. Known as the “Candy Man”, he passed away on March 12 peacefully in his sleep. He was born on October 12, 1918 in Reading, PA, the son of Antonio and Agata Ciervo. He had three brothers: Frank, Charles, and James and five sisters: Catherine, Rose, Mary, Josephine, and Annie. He was married to the late Loretta Ruth. He is survived by his son: Patrick J Ciervo married to Sheila Ciervo, five grandchildren: Tiffany Donly (Rory), Stacy Green (Steve), Holly Saniger (Mark), Ryan Ciervo (Hilary), and Emily Ray (Brent), and six great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Kylee, Katelyn, Olivia, Kolin, Mia and two more on the way. He has been retired from Carpenter Steel Technology since 1980 after 32 years of service. Some of his hobbies were bowling, playing games, pool, old music, singing, watching old movies, and doing crossword puzzles. He liked to tell people he was an FBI, “Full Blooded Italian.” Patrick joined the LDS Church on April 17, 2011 at the age of 92. He recently had the opportunity to share his testimony of the gospel, scriptures, and love he had for the Savior Jesus Christ. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the care he received from the Diamond Jane Assisted Living and Harmony Hospice. Viewing will be held at 10:30am on Friday, March 16th at the White Stake Center on Cherry Street next to Grantsville High School, with the funeral at 12:00. Please be in your seats 15 minutes prior to the services. Interment will be at the Tooele City Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks go to Didericksen Memorial for their kindness and care. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We love you Dad and Pop-Pop!
