Olive "Jane" Peasnall Anderson was born in Grantsville, Utah, on November 24, 1929, to Oliver S. Peasnall and Olivetta Griffiths Peasnall. She passed away on June 28, 2026, in her home in Grantsville, surrounded by many members of her family, from causes incident to age. She graduated from Grantsville High School in 1948.
She met Melvin Reed Anderson while they were both working at the Tooele Army Depot. They were married in 1954 and raised five children: Judy Marie (deceased), Craig Melvin, Phillip Oliver (Kathleen), Richard Henry (Darlene), and Brent Reed Anderson.
Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She never missed calling her family on their birthdays and was loved and revered by her entire posterity, which includes 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many callings throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Melvin; her daughter, Judy; her daughter-in-law, Rosemary Anderson; her granddaughter, Jana Lynn Beecher; her great-grandson, Johnathan Colt Doerr; her sisters, Carma Hutchinson and Gwen Bullock; and several brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her sons, Craig, Phillip, Richard, and Brent; her daughters-in-law, Kathleen and Darlene; her brother, Oliver Lamar "Sonny" Peasnall (Dolly); her sisters, Barbara Gibson and Dorothy Hansen; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Grantsville Church Street Chapel, 81 Church Street, Grantsville, Utah.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
