Noreen Kerry Stuart

Noreen Kerry Stuart passed away quietly on Nov. 22nd, 2022 while bravely battling cancer. She was born on January 15th, 1971, in Elko, NV. Daughter of parents Norman Holten (1951-2016) and Kerry Lynn Higley. Beloved sister of Bruce Holten, Crystal Holten (Sept. 1977-Nov. 1977), Codi (Illianna) Wood, Connor (Kala) Vongrimstav, Quinn (Holly) Holten and Lance Landers. She is survived by loving sons Robert (Ashley) Ballard, Ryan Ballard, Ronald (Kristen) Schofield, sweet daughter Shyanne Stuart and caring husband Scott Stuart.
Growing up a fiercely independent child her family was always her first sole focus. She worried over and actively cared for them all until the end, sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs. Noreen was a vary straight forward get to the point type of person. She was always absolutely clear on her convictions and beliefs. She valued loyalty, honesty, and authenticity. She loved music; all kinds; but listen to country mostly. She also loved arts & craft sewing and had a whole room dedicated to just crafting materials.
Noreen had a beautiful smile and laugh! Her wit was razor sharp and she was known to say exactly how she felt without hesitation. She strived to keep her family in check and was the orchestrator of many family gatherings. She was kind, generous and compassionate. She always was trying to heal whatever was broken. She believed in autonomy and dignity and a person’s duty to always do the right thing. She believed in tough love and was fiercely independent and private. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and disfunction. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, resented them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them unconditionally.
Noreen will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are immensely broken by her unexpected passing. She was a light to our family and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
