Nathan Davis

Nathan, a great father, a loving husband, a wonderful son, a caring brother and a true friend passed on unexpectedly during the early hours of Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011. Nathan was born June 26, 1978 in Payson, Utah to Don Lewis and Linda Barker Davis. He moved to Tooele with his family in 1980, where he spent the next 30 years becoming the wonderful man we all knew him to be. He attended Harris Elementary, Tooele Junior High and Tooele High School. He worked several jobs throughout Tooele County, most recently with ATI in Rowley.

Nathan has two beautiful children, KayDee Lynne (11) and Jenna Bailee (9). He then married the love of his life, Shanna Kay Davis on March 7, 2009. Through which he was blessed with two more wonderful children, Kaylee Christine (14) and James Daniel (4). His family was his greatest accomplishment and he cherished them all.

Nathan was a man with a big heart that loved his family and friends. He was very laid back, easy to like and made friends everywhere he went. He was always the first person to suggest a gathering, whether it was a family barbecue or a night out playing pool. He loved to talk, to joke, to cook, watch movies, play video games with the kids, anything to surround himself with the people he loved and cared about. Always there to listen or help however he could, trying to take care of others. He loved to collect items with wolves on them, known to a lot of his friends by his nickname “Wolf.” He loved to play pool and played on many recreational leagues. Our time with Nathan was far too short, but we will always remember how wonderful he was and cherish all of the great memories.

Nathan, we love you with all of our hearts... and will miss you dearly.

Nathan is survived by his wife Shanna and children, Kaylee, KayDee, Jenna and Jimmy; parents Don and Linda Davis; parents-in-law James and Kay Roach; grandmother Naomi Johnson; his siblings, Melanie (Allan) Yearsley, Marianne (Tim Jr.) Booth and Lucas (Angela) Davis; 12 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, Jan. 28 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The funeral services will follow on Friday, at 11 a.m. Both services will be held at the LDS Tooele East Stake Center located at 751 North, 520 East in Tooele. Nathan will be laid to rest following the service in the Tooele City Cemetery.

The family also wishes to extend our gratitude and love to all of Nathan’s beloved family and friends who have reached out during this challenging time. Thank you all.
