Myles S, Adams passes away peacefully March 8, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born April 30, 1924 to Sidney and Barbara in Montgomery Alabama. He was the youngest of three children Olga Louise and Sidney (both deceased). He grew up fast having to drop out of high school to help support the family during the depression years. He married his one true love and soul mate Edna Pollard on February 13, 1943. Only a month after marriage he was drafted into WWII. He served 4 years in the Army as a medic and M.P. He was stationed in South Africa, Italy and Fort Hood, Texas. After the war he came home and pursued his career as a machinist and attended college to become an electrician. Myles loved working with his hands, in his spare time you would find him building in his wood shop or faceting and polishing rocks. Myles retired from Amax in 1986. Then he and Edna toured the country in their motor home for a couple of years. Myles is survived by his wife of 72 years and his two children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Myles was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather; always there to take care of us with great advice, a quick sense of humor and a good tight hug. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
