Mae Elizabeth Buechling Grizzell Paxman, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 9, 1929, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Charles Irving and Mildred Eleanor Covey Buechling.

She married James Edward Grizzell. He passed away from injuries received in an airplane accident. She then married Elwood Ernest Paxman in Allendale, S.C. on December 31, 1966. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a homemaker, worked at times in the sewing industry, campground host for the Forest Service with Dad, and was a cashier working at the Red Garter casino in Wendover, NV when she retired for good many years ago. For many years she loved going to bingo until she couldn’t get out of the house anymore. Her greatest joy came from her crocheting. She would crochet afghans not only for our family but also for local charities, churches, veterans, anyone who came to see her.
