Lynn Ernest DeVore, 82, of Erda, Utah passed away June 1, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Taft, Taylor County, WI. on October 24, 1941, to Ernest and Mable (Bucher) DeVore. He is the seventh out of sixteen children. He moved to Farmington, Utah in 1951, and grew up in Centerville.
He met Susan Kolar at Capitol Chevrolet and they married on March 15, 1970, in Elko, NV.
Lynn was a lifelong mechanic and loved to share his knowledge. One of his favorite sayings was, “you don’t buy cheap tools!” He worked at many prominent dealerships and owned his own auto shops through the years.
Lynn made hauling wood, hay and ‘spuds’ for family and friends an all-weekend adventure in the big green truck, making countless trips to Idaho and Manila.
Lynn is survived by his wife Susan and children Michael (Julia), David (Jennie), Boo (Angie), and Brookes (Robert) Pitt. He and Susan have 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
Lynn had a very generous heart. He was a hard worker and devoted to his family. His favorite activity was ‘let’s go eat’ always bringing everyone together.
