Lynn Ratcliffe Anderson
Lynn Ratcliffe Anderson, age 70, of Grantsville, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with illness.
Lynn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Ladell Ratcliffe and Faye Miller Ratcliffe. She was raised with strong values of faith, service, hard work, and love for family, which remained the foundation of her life. Throughout her years, Lynn touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lynn devoted much of her life to serving others. She taught seminary, held numerous leadership callings, and especially cherished opportunities to work with and mentor youth. Her testimony of Jesus Christ and commitment to service left a lasting impact on many individuals and families.
Lynn also found great fulfillment in her professional life. She loved her work with the Salt Lake Board of Realtors and treasured the friendships and relationships she developed there over the years. Her dedication, work ethic, and positive influence were recognized when she was honored as Employee of the Year for 2025, an achievement that brought her great pride and reflected the respect and admiration she earned from her colleagues.
Lynn found great joy in raising and caring for animals. Over the years, her home was filled with birds, bunnies, ducks, chickens, geese, and many other beloved animals. She also loved spending time with her family, caring for her dogs, and remodeling and improving her home. Her energy, creativity, and determination were evident in everything she did.
Those who knew Lynn will remember her as kind, charitable, passionate, driven, and deeply loving. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and cared for. Her generosity and willingness to help anyone in need became hallmarks of her life and legacy.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, William Ladell Ratcliffe and Faye Miller Ratcliffe; and her children, Britt, Joshua, and Blake.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jay Anderson; her children, Sonny Baird (Jodi) and Tina Bettinson (Orin); her grandchildren, Britt Baird (Val Anderson), Ty Baird, Shelby D'Epiro (Michael), Christopher Anderson, and Chelsea; her great-granddaughter, Harmony; and her siblings, Julie Butler (Gary), Diane Bevan (Scott, deceased), Billy Ratcliffe (Lisa), and Craig Ratcliffe (Danielle). She is also survived by many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 115 East Cherry Street, Grantsville, Utah. A closed-casket visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Lynn was an extraordinary woman whose influence reached far beyond her family. Through her example of faith, service, compassion, and determination, she touched the lives of countless people. Her legacy will continue through the family she cherished, the friends she loved, and the many individuals she inspired throughout her life. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory and influence will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Until we meet again, we celebrate a life well lived and a woman dearly loved.
