Jeanine Jefferies Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on April 20, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born September 16, 1928 in Grantsville, Utah to Richard Calbert and Chleo Fidler Jefferies. Jeanine graduated from Grantsville High School where ‘Shop’ was one of her favorite classes. She married the love of her life, Don Henning Johnson on February 26, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Jeanine worked for many years at the Jr. Mart. She served faithfully in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, traveling, painting pictures and sharing a Pepsi with family and friends. She always looked forward to the next family party. She sang in a quartet with her mothers and sisters and sang at numerous church and community functions. Jeanine is survived by her three children, Connie (Larry) Palmer of Saratoga Springs, Karen (Tim) Parks of Stansbury Park and Eric (Annette) Johnson of Grantsville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Bobbie Hutchins. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Larry Don; Parents, sister; Elaine Beacham and brother Clyde Jefferies. Special thanks to Michelle Bolinder and the staff, volunteers, and owners of Diamond Jane’s Assisted Living Center and Barb and Sharon of Canyon Home Care and Hospice. Viewing will be held at the Grantsville West Stake Center, located at 115 E. Cherry St. on Friday, April 22nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23rd, at the Grantsville West Stake Center at 11:00 am with a viewing at 10:00 am.
