James Linder, Sr.

James John Linder Sr (Jim)
passed away April 17 2020 of natural causes, surrounded by his loving family at his son’s home. Jim was born on August, 24 1936 in Bellville Illinois to Oliver and Marie (Forebeck) Linder. He joined the Army and served his country with pride.

He married his sweetheart, Nathalie Ferguson on May 23, 1959. They were the proud parents to five children Jamie, Jimmy, Jay, Joy and Jeff.


Jim was proceeded death by his Mom & Dad, his daughter Joy and sister Jeanie (Linder) Wallace.


Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years Nat. His children Jamie and Russ Ogden of Twin Falls Id, Jimmy and Tammy Linder of Elko NV, Jay and Cecilia Linder of Tooele Ut, and Jeff and Stacy Linder of Elko Nv. Jim was blessed with 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Denise and Shawn Smith (Alexus, Tyse, Bridger) Jacob Moe (Keelie) Brian and Holly Moe (Hannah, Nora) Josh and Annie Linder, Jerod Linder, Amanda Linder and Lew (Randy, Hailey), Bradley Linder and TJ (Haylee, Kellee), Josie and Caleb Rutledge, Keitlin LaFaver and Blaaze, Aaron McQuitty and Ali. Along with brother in law John Wallace sister in law Iretta (Howard) Stephens brother in law Darryl (Debbie) Ferguson numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

He worked for over 40 years in the Coal Mining Industry and farming was a great part of his life, one of his biggest joys was his deer and elk making numerous close friends. Upon retirement they moved to Arizona, where it was warm, found old friends and made many more good friends.

Jim loved his family and many friends with all his heart. His laughter was endless and he could always light up a room. The memories he gave will bring comfort to those that loved him.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
