Eric Andrew Mogensen, age 42, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Stansbury Park, Utah. He was born in St. George Utah on May 30, 1982, to Ina Jarvis, daughter of Emer D. Jarvis and Jessie Ina Hunter, and the late Andrew Paul Mogensen, son of Hans William Mogensen and Gertrude Pauline Linge.
As a child in Las Vegas, NV, he enjoyed swimming, being a Tiger Cub, drawing, Little League baseball, fishing, and most of all, riding and fixing up his BMX bike. Even as a child he had a keen intellect and wicked sense of humor that showed in his art, delighted his friends, and annoyed his teachers. Eric was fiercely loyal to his childhood friends, often carrying those friendships on through his life.
Eric never lost his love of BMX bike riding. His love of stunts and flying was the source of multiple concussions and broken bones throughout his adult life. He was always willing to share that love and skill with any adult or child willing to watch, learn, or tinker with their bikes along with him.
More than biking, though, Eric loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Zoe Lynn; stepchildren Isaac, Aiden, and Jersey Kelsch, and Josie Flores, who he cared for very deeply, and loving fiancé Sarah Ann Zitting; siblings John, Tracy, and KelliSue Taggart; mother, Ina Mogensen Snarr (Dee); and grandmother Gertrude Pauline (Trudi) Cooper, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 28 at the LDS Church located at 240 Interlochen Lane, Stansbury Park. Visitation will be at 10 am; services will begin at 11 am, with interment at 1 pm in Stansbury Park cemetery.
