Elaine Smith Belnap

September 30, 1932 — November 11, 2022

Murray

Elaine Smith Belnap passed peacefully on November 11, 2022 in Murray, Utah. She was born in Logan, Utah to Aaron Fredrick and Hilda Clara Smith on September 30, 1932. On July 4th, 1948 she married Dan LaMar Belnap and they were later sealed in the Logan temple. Elaine is survived by her three children Peggy Lynn Jardine (The late Don Jardine), Judy Bedingfield (Dana Bedingfield), Dan Emory Belnap (Kelleen Smith). She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan.

Elaine and Dan built their life together in Preston Idaho, where they raised their 3 children, and many other kids that were in need of loving parents.

Elaine and Dad built and proudly ran a business together named, DaLane Upholstery. Their grandchildren looked forward to summers in the shop with papa and lunches with Grandma.

In 1997, Elaine and Dan were called to serve a couple's mission in Kissimee Florida, where they served as temple workers. They would both chuckle and tell people they served their mission with Mickey Mouse.

A graveside service will be held on November 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Logan City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her eternal companion. Family and close friends are invited.

The family would like to thank her daughter, Judy, for taking such good care of her over the last few years, as grandma struggled to be without her loving husband.
