Beloved father, grandfather, sibling, and friend passed away peacefully early Thursday morning on the 6th of August in Tooele, UT. He is survived by his son, seven grandchildren, and his brother and sister. Douglas will be missed. He is loved. He was generous, kind, thoughtful, and always willing to listen to those who needed a listening ear. Born in Calgary Canada in 1930, he was raised in Cardston, Alberta Canada. As a young man he served an LDS mission to New Zealand. He briefly attended BYU, and later attended The Royal Academy of Arts in London England where he made several life-long friends that he held very dear. Doug was an aspiring artist, playwright, and actor. He loved Philosophy, Art, books, and debating the authorship of Shakespeare. He dedicated much of his life to learning about these things and spent many enjoyable hours doing so. He will be missed greatly by his family and those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
