Donna May Smith Fox

May 11, 1944 — November 21, 2025

Tooele

Donna May Smith Fox passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. She was born on May 11, 1944, to Ivy Mae Hancock and was lovingly raised and adopted by Franklin Nephi Nash and Myrtle Katherine Hancock Nash when she was just nine days old.

On December 16, 1960, Donna married the love of her life, Bradley Fox. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 30, 1998. Together, they shared 59 wonderful years filled with devotion, laughter, and family.

Donna retired from the Tooele Army Depot in 1995. In the years that followed, she continued to work at Tooele Federal Credit Union, Farmer’s Insurance, and Primary Residential Mortgage. At age 69, she embraced full retirement and enjoyed the chance to relax and savor life’s simple pleasures.

She and Brad loved traveling and looked forward to their annual trips to Fish Lake, their favorite place to camp together. Donna found joy in crafting, singing nursery rhymes with her grandchildren, shopping, going to the movies, and taking fun-filled gambling trips to Wendover.

Donna was known for her generosity and compassion. While working at Tooele Federal Credit Union, she often provided bags of groceries to those in need. She had an incredible memory for the details of others’ lives and was always the first to offer a listening ear, a warm conversation, or thoughtful support.

She is survived by her children Cris (Jani) Fox, Toni (Steven) Goodsell, and Braidi (Jeremy) Stookey; her grandchildren Cody (Tiffany) Rydalch, Amber (Greg) Hargis, Chad Fox, Carson (Britney) Kinckiner, and Walter Stookey; and many great-grandchildren who brought joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Fox; her parents, Ivy Hancock and Franklin and Myrtle Nash; her siblings Florence Elizabeth Smith, Gerald Hancock Smith, Mary Nelson, Thelma Rydalch, Lester Nash, Delbert Nash, Floyd Nash, Ferrall Nash, and Marjorie Sherwood; and her dear friend Gerrold Laycock.

Donna’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Our House in Tooele for their many years of care and kindness. They also express special thanks to Jordan and Alexis at Atlas Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and dedicated service.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on December 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Stansbury Club House, located at 1 Country Club, Stansbury Park, Utah. Dinner will be provided, and all who loved her are welcome to attend.
