Barry Grant Knutson

Barry Grant Knutson passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 11, 2024, at the age of 76.  Barry was born on July 22, 1947, in Wendell Idaho. Soon after enlisting in the Army, he married his wife, Pamela Patrick Knutson. He proudly served his country and spent 13 months in combat in Vietnam.  After being honorably discharged, he began trade school to be a carpenter and he started his career with the Army Depot.  He worked as a carpenter, security guard, and maintenance man before retiring at age 56. 

Barry’s hobbies included hunting with his brothers and spending time with family. Barry looked forward to the yearly Knutson family reunion. He and his brothers spent many years, together, building their families' homes. Barry completed building his family home in 1972 where he raised his four children.

Barry is proceeded in death by his wife Pamela Patrick Knutson. His parents are Viola Winifred Landreth Knutson, Loren George Knutson and his two brothers are Douglas Knutson and Steven Knutson. 

He is survived by his four children, Kimberly Marie Knutson-Pugh (Ken), Karma Lynn Knutson Newberry, Amber Danielle Knutson, and Patrick Grant Knutson (Kristine). He has 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Barry's siblings are Rick, Roger, and Ramona Knutson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 18th, at the LDS Stake Center, 550 E Durfee Street in Grantsville. A viewing will be held one hour prior at the same location. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 19th at the Wendell City Cemetery in Wendell, ID.
